A project of Rural Action Sustainable Agriculture and one of our biggest projects to date, Ohio Foodshed is a one-stop source of information about local food in Applachian Ohio.

Canary Press helped develop the brand through identity creation, web design and development, custom blogs and custom Ning community sites, business stationary sets and marketing materials.

Rural Action is a membership-based organization whose purpose is to promote economic, social and environmental justice in Appalachian Ohio.

Canary Press designer Sarah Warda is on staff at the non-profit as Coordintor of Visual Communications and has helped to rejuvenate the organizations brand with an updated logo, membership brochures, quarterly publications as well as a complete overhaul of their website.

Bridge Builders is a youth partnership designed to provide at-risk youth with healthy alternatives with a focus on susbstance abuse prevention.

athens county park and ride

The Athens County Commissioners, Rural Action and the Ohio Department of Transportation partnered to expand the current system of park and ride lots in Athens County to encourage carpooling and increase ride sharing opportunities.

Canary Press designed a logo and brochure to increase awareness of current park and ride locations and help secure funding for new sites.

biofuels corridor

Rural Action's Energy Committee partnered with Clean Fuels Ohio and the Hocking College Energy Institute to promote a biofuels corridor along U.S. Route 33 from Columbus, Ohio to the Ohio River. The goal is to have fueling stations along U.S. Route 33 to include soy-based biodiesel as part of their options to consumers.
